2024 Union Scholarship Contest Winners!

On May 23rd, 2024, Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1 NY held our annual Union Scholarship Contest. Thirteen high school seniors presented to judges, competing for scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000.
We are excited to announce the winners!
First Prize: $10,000 - Amya DaCosta
Second Prize: $5,000 - Anna Buinski
Second Prize: $5,000 - Ava Custode
Third Prize: $2,500 - Leysey Yaguana
Third Prize: $2,500 - Michaelangelo Giuliano
Third Prize: $2,500 - Juan Vasquez
All other participants received a $500 Merit Award.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the students and judges for making this event memorable.
BAC Local 1 NY distributes over $40,000 annually to students who are members of Local 1 NY.
